Butcher's Broom Tea Benefits

Springing up from the woodlands and along the coastal cliffs of Africa and the Mediterranean, this short evergreen shrub is marked by stiff branches, pointed leaves and bright red berries. The name “butcher’s broom” comes from its historic use, when it was the plant most often harvested to be used for making brooms, especially those used by butchers cleaning their shops. Today, it is more likely to be found as an ornamental garden plant, or harvested for its root to create this valuable herbal tea.

A Tea of Great Value

This rich root tea is consumed for more than simple enjoyment. Butcher’s broom tea offers a natural source of essential vitamins, including vitamin C and multiple B vitamins, and minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium and selenium. Flavonoids, saponins, beta carotene and essential fatty acids are just a few of the many constituents found in this root tea, and like many herbs, it also naturally provides antioxidants.

Experience One of Nature’s Marvels

For those seeking a pure butcher’s broom tea, this tea is a perfect match. Each bleach-free tea bag contains nothing but the pure, organic and unadulterated butcher’s broom root, without any fillers, additives or flavourings.
